Hood Bomb 2007

After hiking around on Mount Hood one day last summer, my friend Betsy and I were climbing into my truck when we noticed these curious characters riding around the parking lot on kids' bikes. Well I had to find out what was up with this. Turns out that there are part of a group from Portland, OR called the Zoo Bombers. They ride the Tri-met train from downtown Portland to a point deep under the zoo. There they take and elevator to the zoo with their bikes and proceed to "bomb" about 3 miles to downtown Portland. They ride modified children's bikes because they say its more fun. There are some videos on Youtube if you want to look fro Zoo Bombers.
